Children’s Division (Ages 3 - 6)

Children's Introduction to Dance (CID)

No previous dance experience is required for this class. One lesson per week is required. This class is designed to expose young children to an enjoyable dance experience. At the same time, they develop and share ideas with each other and develop coordination through movement to music.

Required Leotard:

• Female: CID Leotard Or Lines Vermont Dance Store
• Male: Fitted Shirt Or Lines Vermont Dance Store

Tights:

• Female: Full foot or conversion. Pink or complementary skin tone.
• Male: Full foot. Black or White.
• Bloch World Or Lines Vermont Dance Store

Ballet Slippers:

Leather (required for performances) or Canvas.

Children's Introduction to Dance - II (CID II)

No previous dance experience is required for this class. One lesson per week is required. This class develops coordination of mind and body through dance combinations that include large motor skills and fundamental ballet moves.

• Male: Fitted Shirt Or Lines Vermont Dance Store

Children's Introduction to Ballet (CIB)

No previous dance experience is required for this class. One lesson per week is required. Young students who are ready for more challenges within the ballet discipline will be in this class.

Jazz/Hip-Hop

Dancers will expand on their previous knowledge of basic jazz steps and techniques while challenging themselves to faster-paced choreography with attention to musicality and performance.

Attire:

Leotard of any color, black jazz pants or tights, and black leather jazz shoes. Long hair secured in a ponytail.

Jazz/ Hip-Hop

This class is ideal for any young dancer who is looking to dance and groove! Jazz/Hip-Hop students learn basic hip-hop dance steps as well as introductory jazz technique. 

Attire: 

Female: 

• Leotard of any color, black jazz pants or tights and black leather jazz shoes. Long hair secured in a ponytail. 

Male: 

• T-Shirt, black jazz pants or sweat pants, and black leather jazz shoes.
