Storm Dance Company Mission

Vermont Ballet Theater School’s competitive dance troupe gives students more performance opportunities and provides professional dance training in a supportive and nurturing environment. Students ages 7-18 will learn and rehearse routines with their teammates to prepare for regional dance conventions throughout the northeast. These conventions offer great opportunities to work with industry professionals, take master classes and workshops and receive personal feedback. Being a part of VBTS’ competitive team offers our students the chance to grow as dancers and artists by exposing them to new choreography and exploring new styles and genres of dance. Our goal is to provide professional-quality dance instruction with a focus on both performance and technical skills. We believe that the performing arts enrich and enliven our local culture, which is why we are committed to creating performance opportunities that inspire and instill a lifelong love of dance in our students and community.

Storm strives to provide students with a safe environment where they can grow as artists and individuals. We place value in teaching children team-building skills and good sportsmanship. The Storm Competition Team takes pride in its ability to provide a professional environment for children to study the performing arts in a fun and supportive community.
